Read about the New Zion Youth Choir's recent mission trip from Music & Worship Director Nona Schwab: Our New Zion Youth Choir, grades 6-12, traveled to Nashville, TN for their annual mission trip.This is an opportunity to learn about creating a legacy through inheritance planning that will support AHUMC mission for the future. Roger Lind, board chair, requested all attending register for the session. David Kinder, SPRC chair, updated the board on the current staff and volunteer openings. This summer, AHUMC Youth Ministry will be taking VBS to Freer and Bruni, Texas. The youth will reuse the VBS materials from our VBS and will do a one day VBS in Bruni, and a 3 day VBS in Freer. Freer once flourished with the oil boom of the early 2000's but has since become an economically disadvantaged community. On Friday, January 20, we will host our first-ever Nerf and Nachos— Jingle Bell fair. Saturday November 11, 9 am- 3 pm. Local and international vendors will once again join us in bringing many handmade items. There will be a bake sale, silent auction, jewelry, quilts, and gifts for the holidays.
